Getting 100 emails without a product
by ChrisWe needed to validate our hypothesis that people wanted a community as a service, but we didn't have our product completely finalized yet.
But we didn't want to sit around and wait to be perfect. So, we made a fake landing page for a fake company (CaaSify.com) that offered an identical product to Threadbase, and we posted about it on IH.
We were the #3 post of the day and one of the top 5 posts of the week!
With this post, we were able to get 100 email subscribers from content creators, founders, and budding entrepreneurs.
It was on this day that we knew we finally had something.
