A lil’ bit of publicity won’t hurt

Went live on the local radio last Thursday. 40 min talk about startups and indie hacking and stuff.

Went live on another local radio this Thursday (today). 20 min talk about IT and startups and stuff.

Felt like it was time to do some “content marketing” (aka “write a somewhat tech article on Medium and plug my project”.) Wrote this story, took a day (personal record for writing it fast!), hoping for it to get picked up by a few Android digests this Sunday.

Also felt like my previous app icon on Play Store was shite. Not standing out at all. Hence redrawn it with this. Now need to also redesign everything else (images, posters etc).

Interesting. Didn't know the updates were now promoted to the front page along discussions and other posts @csallen

One of the benefits of the new homepage (under the hood) is that we're now able to put pretty much anything on it! I plan to work a lot this year on integrating products with the rest of the site so they aren't quite as silo'd.

Speaking of products, how did you lose your product anchor on your profile image?

Also is it okay for me to add a podcast as a product on my account if it's not generating revenue?

Temporary bug. And yep 100% okay.

Sounds fantastic. And motivates to keep the product log updated as well. Social accountability + extra publicity = double win for products.
