Thunzi AI
AI-powered reputation intelligence and customer experience
I’m building Thunzi AI an end-to-end AI reputation intelligence platform for African brands, SMEs, institutions, agencies, governments, and public figures.
The idea came from a simple frustration: reputation risk in Africa is real, but most organisations only notice the problem when it has already become public, emotional, expensive, or political.
A customer complaint goes viral.
A negative media narrative starts spreading.
A public figure gets misrepresented.
A brand loses trust quietly before leadership even sees the warning signs.
In many African markets, reputation is still managed reactively. People rely on screenshots, manual media tracking, WhatsApp updates, gut feeling, or agencies compiling reports after the damage is already done.
Thunzi AI exists to change that.
We are building a platform that helps organisations monitor mentions across media, web, blogs, social platforms, and digital conversations; track sentiment and narratives; detect emerging risks; understand customer experience signals; and receive AI-generated insights, alerts, dashboards, and reports.
We are also adding AI voice agents that can support customer experience workflows, handle complaints, collect feedback, speak in local languages, and escalate serious issues to human teams.
The long-term vision is simple:
African organisations should not have to wait for a crisis to understand how they are perceived.
They should be able to see reputation risks early, understand public sentiment clearly, respond faster, and make better decisions using data.
Thunzi AI is being built for the African context: our languages, our media environment, our institutions, our customer behaviour, and our realities.
I’m still early in the journey, but I’m excited to build this in public and learn from other founders here.
Would love feedback from anyone working in AI, media monitoring, customer experience, PR, public affairs, or B2B SaaS.
About
I am building Thunzi AI because brands, institutions, SMEs, and public figures need better tools to understand how they are perceived, detect reputation risks early, and improve customer experience.

I like that you're treating reputation as something to manage proactively rather than something to repair after a crisis.
The interesting shift is from monitoring what people are saying to helping organizations recognize when public perception is beginning to change. That's a much more strategic role than simply tracking mentions.
