The #1 Free Tier List Maker

April 2, 2026 I got tired of TierMaker so I built my own tier list maker

Every tier list maker out there feels like it was built in 2015 and never updated. Cluttered UI, ads everywhere, confusing workflows just to drag a few images around.

I built TierBuddy because I wanted something that just works.

Sign up, drop in your items, drag them into tiers, share the link. Takes about a minute to make your first list.

But it does more than the basics:

- Live voting — share a tier list and let people submit their own rankings. See how the community compares.

- Templates — browse thousands of pre-built lists across anime, gaming, sports, movies, food, and more.

- AI generation — type a topic and get items auto-generated so you can start ranking immediately.

- SEO-friendly pages — every tier list gets its own shareable, indexable page.

It started as a side project and grew to 150K+ pages of user-created content, all through organic search. No launch campaign, no paid ads. People just find it when they want to rank something.

Free to use. Pro is $30 lifetime if you want an ad-free experience.

150k pages of organic content with no launch campaign is the kind of growth most founders are trying to buy with ads 😄

The SEO angle is genuinely smart here. Every tier list becomes its own indexed page with a unique topic. User generated content doing your SEO work for you automatically. That compounds over time in a way paid traffic never does.

The live voting feature is interesting from a product perspective. Did you build that after seeing how people were already sharing lists or was it part of original plan?

Also curious — at 150k pages how are you handling the long tail content quality. Some user generated stuff must be quite low quality. Does that hurt your search rankings or does volume outweigh it?

      Thanks!

The live voting feature was actually added later as I believed that a more collaborative feature would help improve user engagement and enjoyability.

We do have filters which automatically delete unedited and old tier lists. We also only include public lists with actual ranked items in our sitemap to not waste Google crawling budget.

About

I enjoy making tierlists and TierMaker.com felt too clunky, out-dated, and confusing. I created TierBuddy as a side project but it evolved into a fully-featured tier list platform and a more modern TierMaker.
