Launched first course, Everyday Data Science! Hundreds of purchases!
Last week, we launched Everyday Data Science on Hacker News: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=32118530.
This is the first featured course on TigYog. I have worked with Andrew Carr on this course for about three months so far.
I think this can really grow! We'll be completing the course over the next year, and I'll be continuing to grow the platform and writers. (Let me know if you're interested!)

Definitely a creative approach! Definitely watching to see where this goes. Very cool concept, despite some of the criticism on HN. I think it definitely caters to a specific type of learner, and maybe a bit more to a younger demographic, which I imagine is more likely to buy a course (just an assumption). Wishing you the best!

Can’t tell you how much I agree with “There's this bizarre idea that online courses have to be video playlists”. All my life I’ve been painstakingly collecting unconventional “page-turner” textbooks and I love that you’re taking them even further by making them into text adventure!
What books are coming next / in the works? I’d love to know!

These both look amazing! What cool inspiration. Lingua Latina is especially surprising -- I had never considered teaching a language like that, but I can totally imagine it adapted to the TigYog format! I see now that this method has a name: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_method_(education). I'm seriously thinking about a TigYog course like this now ...
I am not familiar with "TigYog" but my first impression based on the name was that it sounds weird, foreign (Chinese?), also the .app domain combined with the name makes it sound really fishy. Does the name mean anything specifically?
My mum says "TigYog" is what I called "yogurt" when I was like two years old. I deliberately started the project with a codename so stupid that I would have to change it before going live. Of course, that never happened 😂
