I dread marketing my projects, but I've reached this point of acceptance. It's just something that must be done.

(Not to mention it's something I should have been doing for a while.)

A few days ago, I had a rude awakening when my AWS bill came in around 10X what I expected. As a first step in what will surely be a long journey of blog posts, tweets and videos, I wrote AWS === FML, or Are your AWS alarms properly set?.

To my surprise, it was pretty easy! Not to mention reassuring to see the comments and conversation that came out of it.

I learned something in a freezing cold tent a few years ago: growth comes when you leave your comfort zone. That's a story for another time, but I'm glad to have dipped my toe into this community and to have had such a positive experience.

Thanks, fellow hackers :)

Remember CRON syntax? Me neither. With the TimeyTim API you can schedule webhooks for a later date, keep watch on your services (and know when they go down), and get an alert when a process takes longer than expected.
