Timo

Back in August 2018 we launched the first version of Timo. While we're closing in on v2, we wanted to do a retro of all things since our launch:

• 10k+ people try Timo
• 250k+ events tracked, averaging 300-500 a day
• 252 upvotes on Product Hunt
• 43 upvotes on DesignerNews
• Press from some german publications (benefits of naming your product with a german name?)

Our biggest lesson for far? Make sure you can contact your users!

The simple nature of Timo v1, with data stored on-device and zero need for sign up, has left us scrambling to find way contacting our users 😬

To salt the wound, we only decided to pick up the project in earnest towards the end of 2019. We missed a big opportunity to get our trialist's data and restart further up the pitch.

Hindsight is a beautiful thing.
