July 23, 2021 Release version 1.3.0

A big feature is added in this version: Time Tracking.
For each task, you can measure how long it takes to complete it.
And after that, the time usage will be displayed on the history screen. Based on that, you can see how much time you can complete a task and how long you work on a project.

April 14, 2021 Got the first payment customer

After several months of release on App Store, finally we got a good news.
It was surprising for us when checking the App Store sale dashboard and noticing our first order.
Tinido is using a freemium pricing model that free users can access almost features without any restraint. Besides, if the user wants more advanced features like more lists or customized UI, we offer a premium package that costs 2$/month.

March 25, 2021 Be here! Indie Hackers

Hello everyone,

I am happy to find a place that I can learn from and share with others who love building things.

I am going to try to update Tinido progress here every week.

Yeah, definitely, "Build in public" is worth to try. I feel to be in a community to keep learning and getting motivated.

February 7, 2021 Featured on Product Hunt

Overall, that is a great experience.

Tinido has been released on App Store for several months.
Then, I decided to launch it on Product Hunt to gather more feedback and gain more experience.

This is the first time I have launched a product there, on a great platform like Product Hunt. The result was not bad, I got around 50 upvotes within the launch day, and reached the top 7 or 8 as I remembered. Then, next few days, the upvote number increases to 160. In App Store, it droves 30 downloads from Product Hunt.
However, the result could be much better if I had a better strategy.

There are a few notes I took based on that experience.

  • Launching a product on Product Hunt is not something scary, and we should not worry about it.
  • Telling your story behind the product, that is the best description.
  • Definitely, a good strategy is necessary.
  • If you have other audience channels, it is good to ask them for support before and when you launch the product there (I missed that important part).
  • Keep going after the launch, no matter what the result is.
  • Enjoy it, it gives you lessons and motivations.

October 7, 2020 Published on App Store

After almost 9 months of development and testing, the first version of Tinido has been released on App Store.
This is a serious side project I have been working so far.
At first, I planned to build a simple tool from the original idea that having a GitHub timeline as a feature in a task management tool. However, it keeps going and going both the features list and time.

About

Inspired by GitHub contribution calendar the feature gives user a lot of motivation, I started to build a personal to do list and task manager app in a similar way. Then the function list keeps increasing.
