Becoming a father changed the way I think about building products.
As a software developer, I spent years creating tools for businesses and solving technical problems. But parenthood showed me a different kind of problem: the everyday emotional challenges of raising a child.
Tantrums. Bedtime struggles. Fears. Routines. Big emotions in very small humans.
I realized stories can do more than entertain—they can help children understand emotions, build habits, and make hard moments easier for parents too.
That’s why I built ToddlerTales.
Personalized audio stories designed for real parenting challenges—helping parents turn difficult moments into connection, learning, and calm.
My 3-year-old son is the reason this exists.
Sometimes the best startup ideas come from the problems waiting for you at home.
About
ToddlerTales was born from combining my technical background with parenthood. My 3-year-old son is the reason this exists. Simple tool that helps parents turn everyday challenges—like tantrums into moments of connection.

HI, i'm Connell, a Bug Bounty Hunter. I run PentraSec, a Web Application Security boutique, similar to platforms like HackerOne and Bugcroud but more personalised, meaning more focus on in-scope applications to test.
I'd be happy to partner with you to test your applications before attackers do; leaving you to focus on the development while i cover your unintentionally open paths and footprints attackers could crawl into, and making sure you stay trusted and guaranteed by your clients.
Managing a toddlers big emotions during a tantrum is incredibly draining because traditional discipline often feels like it is escalating the conflict rather than resolving it. A fascinating insight is that children are much more likely to adopt a new routine when they hear a character with their own name successfully navigating the same challenge in a story. Have you thought about adding a feature where parents can record a short intro in their own voice to make the personalized story feel even more comforting?
