July 5, 2021 First customer acquired!

So grateful for our first customer! They are a medium sized business so there was a bit of paperwork to get things started but now they signed up. This gives not only the revenue but also a case study, valuable feedback and new feature requests. Happy! :)

August 31, 2020 Landing page v2.0!

It's so important to clearly communicate what you offer and how it can help your target group. After a lot of valuable feedback I am proud to present the new landing page, check it out at https://togetherdb.com !

Ok, it's not perfect yet, we are still working on the documentation and the screenshots.

If you have any feedback, I would love to hear it! What do you think of TogetherDB in general? How can we make it more appealing? What do you and what don't you like about the offering?

    Hi @Badestrand,

    Here is my feedback:

    • Landing page looks great, simple and clean, explains clearly what the product does.
    • The demo on the landing page works great and it's a great idea to have on a landing page.
    • The loading of the grid is fast, paginated and executed correctly. Operations on the grid the same, fast and clean. Not sure what JS grid you're using, but it looks to be a great option.
    • I've also checked the documentation, the architecture is correct from my perspective. One addition I can think of at this point is a cache layer.
    • As MySQL/PostgreSQL are relational databases, it would be a great addition to display the DB schema and table relations, I think a canvas implementation will do the job.

Regarding your question, I think the product target audience is teams working in paralel on MySQL/PostgreSQL databases, on the fly without installing MySQL/PostgreSQL.
The fact that you will expose a REST API is a real plus.

    Hope this helps.

Q: what have you used to generate the GIFs on the landing pages ?

Yes, that helps a lot, thank you so much. Sounds really positive :) :)

Can I ask, do you use relational databases as well?

Gifs are made with https://gifcap.dev/, super cool and easy tool. Recording and cropping directly in the browser.

        Hey @Badestrand! You're welcome.

Regarding relational databases, I personally use them depending on the project I have on my plate (pretty much depends on customers requirements and, of course, the budget), but as a raw estimate I would say that for 60% of the projects I use relational databases.

Thanks for the GIF tool! Really helpful and simple to use ;)
        All the best!

June 8, 2020 MVP done!

Wow, so much work and I actually scrapped a few features to have a "round" first version.

You can handle your database data super easy and share access (read-only or read-write permissions) to your collegues - a real Unique Selling Point, that's not possible with any other database management!

May 16, 2020 Finally - The vision!

After thinking about it for months I finally know what I want to offer. I love relational databases and was always dissatisfied with current tools (PHPMyAdmin, MySQL Workbench, ...).

It could be so much better. They could be like AirTable, that feels so lightweight, you can share to others to work on data together or make tables public.

The first thought in January was to create a better online database, similar to ObviBase. But I want my databases to have a better home.

So I will create a next generation database management that is worthy of the year 2020, modern, fast, sleek, feature-rich but intuitive. Let's go!

Current database tooling can feel outdated and clunky. We are working on a rich hub for your databases that makes it as easy as Excel or AirTable to handle you data, lets you access even on the go and much more.
