Top Shopify Stores Dataset
A comprehensive list of the top Shopify stores

This month, you get a new field in the dataset: the Total Products for each Shopify store. This is a count of all accessible products on each store.
With this data, you can better understand the profile of each site (from one-product stores to stores that host several thousands of products, or even several millions of products).
On top of this new data, we have improved the data quality of the dataset.
This month's dataset release contains:
- 1,091 shops in the small dataset
- 35,271 shops in the large dataset

Why did Shopify stores in the top 100,000 sites jump by 55% this month?
I was puzzled as I was publishing this month's Top Shopify Dataset. The reason is simple though.
🎁 End-of-the-year shopping spree 🎁
A lot of folks were browsing ecommerce shops to buy their gifts and it clearly shows in the data 📈
In the last eight months, there were an average of 778 shops in this list, and the current month contains 1,209 shops!
For comparison, the total Shopify stores in the top one million sites increased by 24% to close to 36,000 shops.

This is the last release of the year. I love having 8 monthly dataset published in 2023, the first year of the Top Shopify Stores Dataset.
I'm so happy how this product evolved from a simple dataset into a great overview of each shop. There is a lot more planned for 2024!
