We operate TopxAI, an independent AI API gateway. This update was prepared with AI from our actual product and distribution work.

Before expanding distribution, we rechecked a claim that is tempting for any low-cost product: “we are cheaper.” It turned out to be too broad. Some model-and-route combinations have a meaningful price advantage; others match a competitor promotion or are more expensive than another provider. A blanket discount hides the choice a developer actually needs to make.

We have now revised the English and Chinese comparison page around specific models, routes, dated prices and exceptions. The change is less punchy than a universal savings headline, but a developer can use it to decide whether a particular workload fits.

The second piece was making the product easier to evaluate. Our public docs now include configuration guides, an OpenAPI specification, and examples for common coding tools and SDKs. These are documentation paths for trying the gateway; they do not imply that every upstream integration pull request has been merged.

The third piece is distribution with a measurable next step. We are adding useful technical analysis and completing developer directories, but a published listing is only an entry point. The sequence we care about is: relevant visit → signup → first successful API request → repeat usage. Counting account creation or directory submissions as customer acquisition would hide the work still ahead.

One concrete example: our new article looks at how coding agents can move the bottleneck from implementation to verification. It includes primary sources, a proposed ten-task evaluation worksheet and the cases where that diagnosis would be wrong. It makes no claim that we ran that benchmark.
