Trading Journal Pro

For years I kept my trading journal in a plain spreadsheet — just entry, exit, P&L. Every month I'd look at the total and have zero idea why it went up or down. Which setups were actually working? No clue, because I never tagged anything.

So I built Trading Journal Pro: an Excel/Google Sheets template that auto-calculates win rate, average R:R, and profit factor per setup tag, not just globally. Log the same fields you already log (entry, exit, size, setup type), and it does the breakdown automatically — no macros, no scripts, works in both Excel and Sheets.

What it does not do: predict trades, connect to your broker, or replace a real backtesting tool. It's just a much better way to see your own data.

Launched it on Product Hunt on July 30 — small launch (2 upvotes, 9 followers so far), but got one genuinely useful piece of feedback from a trader who said the per-setup breakdown is what sold her, since she was "basically just tracking P&L before and had no idea which setups were actually carrying."
