Launched on Product Hunt 🚀

We put our product up on Product Hunt.

So far, we received 30 upvotes. Not a ton, but that means 30 people like our idea. That feels good. The best however, was a a comment left by a Product Hunt user:

"As an avid climber of 14ers and skier, this looks useful! Thanks."

Validation of your idea feels amazing, and this is the kind of steam that will keep me going. Building something that helps even just one person feels great. So thank you random Product Hunt User! You made my day.

    Well, Ryan Hoover commented on it so that’s an accomplishment! My sister lives in Golden so I’ll be sure to pass this along to her. She’s trying to hike all of the 14ers in Colorado.

    Congrats on the launch 🙌 1 person loving your product is way better than a 100 saying "looks nice, I could see this being useful to others", so congrats on that as well!

      I agree and thank you very much!

    Nice congrats on the launch. I can agree about the validation but what I found that the underlying amazing feeling that it gives is caused by seeing your product be useful to someone impacting their life, even in the smallest way. This in and of it self is validation that you produced something useful versus just validating its a "good idea". Great stuff. I love the landing page btw!

      Thank you - I spent way too long on the landing page. Coloring clouds in GIMP. HA it was fun. It makes me smile - I guess that counts.

        How did you do the floating clouds in the background of the hero?

          Hi!

          I have a png I made in photoshop of clouds that I move ever so slowly across the page

          background-size: contain;
            -moz-animation: MOVE-BACKGROUND 60s infinite linear;
            -webkit-animation: MOVE-BACKGROUND 60s infinite linear;
            animation: MOVE-BACKGROUND infinite linear;

          [@keyframes](/keyframes) MOVE-BACKGROUND {
            from {
              transform: translateX(0);
            }

            to {
              transform: translateX(-1600px);
            }
          }

          The PNG's background is transparent so it gives the illusion of moving clouds.

            Nice. Very interesting. I'm considering doing something like this for my new landing Page but instead of the clouds I want to have some icons floating behind it.
