TripBudget is launched 🎉

Hey everyone! I'm Yigit, a solopreneur here, and I'm super excited to finally launch TripBudget to the world!

Let's face it, planning a trip can be amazing – dreaming of new places, picturing adventures – but then the budgeting part hits, and suddenly it feels like deciphering ancient scrolls. That's why I built TripBudget!

Think of it as your AI travel sidekick. It uses its smarts to predict costs for your entire trip, from flights and hotels to delicious food and getting around.

Here's the lowdown on how TripBudget helps you travel smarter:

Budgeting Made Breezy: It has this super user-friendly drag-and-drop tool to set your spending limit for the whole trip. Seriously, easy as pie!
Dream Big or Explore Freely: Got a specific destination in mind? Tell TripBudget and it'll predict costs and curate getaways that fit your budget and travel style. Feeling more adventurous? Leave it blank and explore exciting possibilities based on what you can afford!
Unveil Your Perfect Getaway: TripBudget analyzes tons of data to predict costs and generate a personalized list of destinations that align with your budget and travel dreams. Discover hidden gems, revisit old favorites, or embark on a completely new adventure – all with clear cost breakdowns for each location. ️

Look, TripBudget is still under development, but I'm confident it can help you ditch the travel stress and focus on the fun of exploring! I built this tool because, well, I love to travel too, and I wanted a way to plan trips that wouldn't break the bank.

Ready to ditch the guesswork and start planning your dream getaway? Head over to TripBudget.me and let's get adventuring!**

P.S. I'd love to hear your feedback and ideas as TripBudget grows! Feel free to leave a comment below. And stay tuned for upcoming blog posts – I'll be sharing travel tips, budget hacks, and hidden gem inspiration to fuel your wanderlust!

    • Departure airport field: select the whole text on focus or put a X like in the other fields
    • date range is only 5 weeks, that's a bit confusing
    • I was a bit confused that I couldn't choose a destination or region i would like to go to. Only got european destinations even though I want to go to asia
    • a maximum of 5000€ might rule out some destinations or time frames
    • I can't really see how the budget is spent (eg. 50% flight 30% accomodation) and if it tries to max out the budget.

The idea is nice, I think it needs more control to be useful ( I know every feature is quite some work to implement :) )

Thank you this valuable feedback :)

      • That's a great point. I will add it to the backlog
      • Date range is not 5 weeks but it comes with preselected dates for departure end return. When you remove the return date, you are able to book any date. But I see now that it might be confusing. Thank you for pointing that out !
      • Yeah. That's a feedback I get frequently. This feature is already on the way. It's going to be published before our relaunch in May.
      • Thank you for the point. I will think how to implement higher range without breaking the UI or sacrificing the UX :)
      • There is no precise way to spend the budget. I keep historical/live data of hotels and flights and some other costs. AI predicts the cost of the destinations in the dates you are available based on this data. You see the destinations that total cost fits in your set budget on the website. You may see the distribution in certain amounts when you see the detail of a destination.
And yes, it tries to max out the budget always. You may see same destination on the results with different budgets but flight(ryanair or lufthansa) and accommodation (hostel or hotel) will be different.

Please follow me or the product on Product Hunt (https://www.producthunt.com/products/trip-budget). I wish to hear your feedbacks at TripBudget relaunch as well.

Thank you so much for your time :)
