Flight search for busy people
A couple of days ago @levelsio tweeted and asked what would people like to see in a flight search. I went through the responses hoping to maybe get some inspiration for a feature for https://www.tripscovery.io.
Amazingly, like 30% of the responses were something along the lines of what Tripscovery is already doing! So I responded to some of the people letting them know about Tripscovery and what we are doing already.
We got some awesome feedback and a steady trickle of users in the next days from just these couple of interactions on twitter.
I have to say, so many people asking exactly for what we have made me feel super motivated to continue doing this! :)
We managed to get a small group of active users just by word of mouth (~30 users) and getting some friends on board (~20 users) for https://www.tripscovery.io.
We got some feedback (mostly UI things) and learned that our infrastructure, which consists of the cheapest Linode server and a mysql db, performs very well so far.
We are going to try to integrate more flight providers in the future to support more destinations. That way we can allow access to more users that are currently waiting for their city to be supported.

I am normally not super active on social media but this time I got excited by so many people wanting what we have built, so I had to say something :)
It's always nice to help other people!
With earlier projects, I've found the same kind of results from sites like Quora. If it's relevant and you genuinely want to help, linking to your site is no shame. :)

The feedback was valuable. But more valuable was the realisation that there is a bunch of people out there who think (like we do) that Tripscovery can be really helpful.
It gave me a lot of motivation :)
Write that down somewhere and post it where you can see it. It's helpful to have reminders like that when times get a bit tough and your motivation dips.
