Payments for modern businesses
Trolley processed > £5,000 in Other People's Money through our payments platform for the first time!
This is one of our key metrics - we're measuring growth by how much we're processing for our customers, and naturally by the commission & fees we received as a result (which correlates to our own MRR)
We've had a big uptick in customers this month, which we're attributing to the increasing relevance of the #NoCode movement (NoCodeConf was this month and even though we didn't attend, some well-timed marketing got us some new customers)
We've also had some great feedback and a new testimonial in the last month - November has been good to us :)
Paid subscription email newsletter are pretty hot right now.
There are many examples where authors are building huge communities [1], but the tools that support doing so can be really expensive [2]
Here's a quick tutorial for how to set one up from scratch (including Mailchimp, a brand new website, payments and subscriptions) in about half an hour.

[1] - see Stratechery, Cleaning The Glass or reCharged for good examples of paid newsletters that people love
[2] - Substack takes 10% of everything you make, on top of the Stripe fees! (Trolley is Stripe + 2%... so you should totally use Trolley. But then I would say that.)

Here's a short an highly opinionated piece on why you should stop procrastinating over which tools to run your startup with, and just get on with it.

The best way to test an idea is to get real users trying it.
So I wrote a quick blog on getting a static site running quickly :)

Only been live for a couple of hours and already an IH member has been kind enough to email me directly to give (positive!) feedback. I love this community!

Trolley gives you simple payments for any website - or just by sending a link. Great for no-code makers, JAMstack builders and anyone with any website.
