One month ago, @saurabhsharan and I decided to take advantage of quarantine to build a side project together. We gave ourselves two simple constraints:
- Must solve a problem for ourselves and for people we know
- Must design, build, and launch within a month
After several late nights and weekends, I’m proud to say we’ve achieved both those things and are launching Trove on Product Hunt today. Trove automatically finds the best credit card for your spending.
Credit card rewards are notoriously difficult to calculate and constantly changing. There’s hundreds of cards with even more articles written about them yet somehow, none of them are able to answer the simple question of which card is best for me.
Trove solves this by analyzing your spending and comparing it across the top credit cards to find the cards that earn you the maximum possible rewards.

Sent to our family/friends with the disclaimer that we would only accept unfiltered feedback :) We were glad that everyone understood the value prop pretty quickly and said they didn't know of anything similar. A few people even found better credit cards! We also used some of the questions people had to improve the copy on our landing pages.
