Trove

The Web Scraping and Automation API

September 10, 2020 Betalist brought in a bunch of traffic

We launched on betalist recently: https://betalist.com/startups/usetrove

This brought in about 180-250 new visitors.
Google Analytics 7 days

So far from this traffic we received 15 signups, 0 paying customers.
One thing that I noticed is that these users are leaving quickly, especially since they have to enter their credit card details before using the product (we don't charge on trials unless you upgrade).

I've decided to remove this and now let users in directly so they can try it. Will keep trucking along, we'll see if people are happy with this change.

August 5, 2020 Improved response time and reliability.

Pushed some changes which improve response time, mainly due to optimizations made on the backend. Reliability also improved by handling better edge cases in the API.

Planning to add new features such as screenshot generating, and after that will add some form of automation - have to think of the use cases here.

July 31, 2020 First user!

Been showing the product to potential users and sharing online, got our first signup - no paying customers yet.

First we have been using reddit, twitter and soon will start a blog to see if that channel picks up any steam. Hard to tell what channel will work best right now.

June 30, 2020 Product ready for Production.

https://usetrove.io is ready for production usage! We hope to start onboarding customers asap. Our initial feature set remains small, the goal here being that we want to prove we can scale and maintain high performance.

We're gonna keep improving the platform, optimizing and adding features.

About

Trove runs the infrastructure and code necessary to scrape the web at scale. Crawling the web at scale is a non-trivial task and requires complex infrastructure. We aim to fix that while reducing costs for our customers.
