It's definitly still a bit rough around the edges, but it's exactly what I needed and I'll be using it almost daily. Hope you'll get some value out of it too :)
It took an incredible amount of effort to go from a little POC to an actual app that could be published on the appstore. It still needs a lot of love and polish, but now that I have all the formalities in order I'm hoping that I can speed up actual feature development.

After ... actually less work than I expected 😀 I've got a first mlp! (minimum loveable product). During building, I've talked to a bunch of people, and luckily quite a few seemed very interested in trying some things out on the app.
So it's just a matter of fixing JUST ONE more bug, cleaning up the test data & of we go! On to some real user feedback.

It's always tough for me to talk to people, pitch my idea & take feedback to heart. So here goes nothing! Got a few sign-ups though mostly from friends & family. Time to get those first few critical new users.
I've already learned a lot by joining communities and just chatting with people every time I can.

Thanks! That may be an option if users find it helpful, but I feel like there are already quite a few platforms that focus on that. And the whole point of TUNE would be to use it without looking at a screen (i.e driving / running / cycling / etc) and maybe even by voice commands.

Related: when I lived in China I noticed it was much more common for people to leave WeChat (Chinese WhatsApp) voice messages rather than writing text. I actually got into the habit too. It can be really nice literally hearing from your friends instead of text only (without the hassle of playing phone tag for a proper call).
It took some time to port my existing android version to iOS. But after some tinkering and A LOT of cursing, I finally managed to get it up and running. It always amazes me how easy it can be to release for android but how convoluted some of apple's hoops are. Anyway, done = done!
It took 6 weeks of side hustling, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for TUNE. I worked mostly nights and weekends, and I coded the whole thing in IONIC & FIREBASE since that's that I'm the most comfortable with. In hindsight, there were a few features I built that probably could've waited until later. But I'm excited to start talking to customers and see what they think about the product so far!
While travelling, staying in touch with friends & family can become quite a chore. Writing all your adventures out or making a podcast or video of them is a whole lot of work. Scheduling phone calls or telling the same story over and over is a pain.
