Tweakr
The growth engine for mobile apps
I did everything right on the product side. Clean UI, smooth onboarding, solid core loop. Launched on a Tuesday because someone on Twitter said that was optimal. 37 downloads. Then 12. Then 8. Then nothing.
The app did not fail because it was bad. It failed because nobody saw it. I had built something in complete silence and expected the world to notice.
So I decided to start posting content.
What that actually looked like was sitting down every Sunday for five hours and producing one mediocre TikTok. Then trying to reformat it for Instagram. Then writing a completely different caption for LinkedIn because TikTok language sounds insane on LinkedIn. Then giving up on Reddit because posting about your own app without getting banned is basically an art form. Then realising I still had not touched my App Store listing which was completely unoptimised and the reason I was invisible in search.
Meanwhile I was supposed to be building the app.
I looked into doing it properly. Video editor for app content, social manager, ASO consultant, screenshot designer. I was looking at $2,000 to $5,000 a month minimum. As a solo developer bootstrapping with savings that was not a reality.
So I built Tweakr instead.
You paste your App Store or Google Play link. Tweakr scrapes your listing, reads your reviews, extracts your brand colors, identifies your core pain points, and generates your entire marketing kit from that single URL. Video ads with AI avatars. App Store screenshots. Social creatives. ASO-optimised listing copy. Keyword research.
Then it posts everything across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Threads, Pinterest, Reddit, and Bluesky on a schedule while you go back to building.
The part I am most proud of is that the content is not generic. Tweakr reads your actual user reviews and builds hooks from the real language your users use.
If your reviews keep saying "I finally stopped forgetting my medication" that exact pain point becomes the opening line of your video ad. Not because we told it to sound authentic. Because it is pulling from authentic sources.
My Sunday went from five hours producing one piece of mediocre content for one platform to 25 minutes reviewing and approving a full week of content across 10 platforms. That is the actual difference.
The gap between having a great app and having a successful app is almost entirely a distribution problem. Building tools have never been better. Distribution tools for mobile apps specifically have not kept up.
Buffer does not know what an App Store listing is. Generic AI video tools do not understand that a productivity app and a gaming app need completely different hooks. Nobody was building for this specific workflow.
That is what Tweakr is. Not a general purpose content tool. Specifically built for mobile app developers who are tired of the content spiral.
We just opened up access. Free plan to explore. Paid starts at $29 a month. Come try it.

Happy to answer questions especially from anyone who has experienced the Sunday content creation spiral. I know that feeling very well.
About
I started building Tweakr because I realized that most mobile apps are not failing because the products are bad. They are failing because founders struggle with distribution and marketing after launch. T

Your story is the whole pitch and you tell it perfectly, the 37 downloads then silence, the Sunday spiral, the app that died not because it was bad but because nobody saw it. Keep leading with that. But the sharpest, most defensible thing in your entire post is the feature you mention almost humbly: you build hooks from the user's real reviews. That is the moat, and it should be the headline. Buffer schedules posts and generic AI writes fluff, but "your best ad is already written, in your five-star reviews" is a thing only you can say, because only you read the App Store listing and the reviews.
So reframe from "AI marketing tool for apps" to "we turn your real reviews into your ads." "I finally stopped forgetting my medication becomes your opening line" is a more convincing sentence than any feature list, because it proves the authenticity instead of claiming it. The autopost to 10 platforms is table stakes, Buffer does that, and the review-mined hook is the wedge nobody else has.
One honest caution, because your strength and your risk are the same mechanism: autoposting AI-avatar video to 10 platforms on a schedule is exactly how the internet fills with slop, and the only thing that saves your output from being more of it is the review-mined authenticity. So never let the scale dilute the source. Sell "authentic at scale," and if you ever have to choose, protect the authenticity, because the day Tweakr content starts feeling generic is the day you become the spiral you rescued people from. One question: do developers come back for the autopost convenience, or for content that finally sounds like their actual users? Lead with the second.
