Typelets
Private notes, encrypted end-to-end.
Hey Indie Hackers 👋
I’ve always loved tools like Notion and Evernote, but one thing bugged me: none of them are truly private. Our notes often contain our most personal ideas, yet they’re stored unencrypted on someone else’s servers.
So I decided to build Typelets a modern note-taking app with end-to-end encryption. That means only you can read your notes, not us, not anyone else.
My goals with Typelets are:
Make privacy-first tools as easy to use as mainstream apps.
Offer a simple, clean writing space that just works across devices.
Build trust through transparency (no ads, no hidden data collection).
I soft-launched recently and have a handful of early users. Now I’d love to hear from this community:
How do you personally take notes, and would you trade features for privacy?
Any suggestions for growth? I’ve tried Reddit and X, but it feels noisy.
If you’ve built something similar, what worked best for getting your first real users?
I’d really appreciate any feedback, questions, or tough love. 🙏
About
I’ve always wanted a simple, modern note-taking app I could trust. I didn’t find one so I built it. Typelets exists because privacy shouldn’t be a tradeoff for convenience.
