uFincs
uFincs is privacy-first, encrypted personal finance app.
Today, on the one-year anniversary of launching uFincs to the public, I'm delighted to announce that uFincs has now been open-sourced! Now you can self-host or hack uFincs however which way you see fit.

Today, I'm excited to announce the release of Import Rules in uFincs. With Import Rules, you can automate away the tedium of manually adjusting each and every transaction when you import from a CSV file.
This has been a highly requested feature, yet one that was pushed out from the initial launch of uFincs. Hopefully this will help ease some people's pain when easing into adopting uFincs.

After far too long in development, I've finally launched uFincs!
uFincs is a privacy-first personal finance web app that I built to fill a hole in the larger landscape of personal finance solutions. I like to describe uFincs in terms of what we don't do: we don't connect to any banks, we don't do budgeting, and we definitely don't sell your data.
Instead, we focus more on taking finances back to basics: making double-entry accounting simpler for manual transaction tracking, forecasting the future with recurring transactions, and making sure all of your data is fully encrypted so that even we can't read it.
Really, it goes against the grain of pretty much every modern 'personal finance' app. And it's all because I got sick of using GnuCash.
Don't get me wrong, GnuCash is a great app. It's just... not the nicest looking, nor the easiest to use.

About
I got tired of using GnuCash for my finances, so I decided to build the personal finance app of my dreams. No banks, no budgeting, no data collecting; just double-entry accounting and a privacy-first attitude.
