After spending a year working with multiple developers - on a co-founder basis, we realised that they all lost interest after a few months. We decided to get some of our own cash together and pay a contract developer to build a first pass iteration of an MVP.

After showing the product to a few close friends, they liked it so much that they asked if they could help me to make the product. That was when team ugive was born! ugive now has 3 co-foundeers, Tom, Joss and me - Sam. Moooooore characterrrssssssss

I created some rough mockups and put them together in a prototype. I tested it we many people, not only family and friends but also people I didn't know, and also some people in the charity industry. There were a lot of comments and direction changes.

After landing my first well-paid job, I decided that I wanted to donate some of my salary to charity. I realised it's very hard to understand where your money goes when you donate, and almost as hard to donate a custom amount of money. Enter: ugive.
