After, almost 2 months we finally got an MVP working! According to the Hofstadter's Law : It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law. This was true in our case, since we initially thought that we would get it out in 1 month...

We know that we still have a lot of work to do, but we are looking straight ahead to improve our product and its quality. There comes a point in creating a product where you have to make a choice regarding the technology you will use. Each technology comes with upsides and downsides, but once you chose, you have to deal with the downsides. When roadblocks appear in our journey, we learned that it's often better to invest in our technology rather than start from scratch with a new one (unless your initial tech is shit xD). How do you guys deal with this?

In our case, since it was what we were comfortable with, we chose Django for our backend instead of some javascript framework. However, due to the Sync nature of Django, I/O blocking operations like reaching Stripe APIs gives serious performance hit to our application. We currently solve this problem by throwing more hardware at it. We consider rewriting parts of the code with a framework that support async (python/fastAPI or javascript/express) or waiting Django async support planned in august.

However, before going crazy, we are looking to validate our idea and see if it can bring value to people.

It was hard, but it is now out! We are really proud :)

After having to integrate Stripe in a SaaS Product, we found out that it can be complicated to integrate their APIs. The journey to get to a billing page is often hard, challenging and longer than expected.

Stripe APIs are often modified and it can be difficult to navigate their documentation when not familiar. In short, they have steep learning curve, but since we got over it we decided to package this expertise into a product.

Therefore, we had the idea to create a ready to use billing page for subscription businesses, that would allow developers to save time and simplify the process of starting a new company.
