UmayNow
Business Discovery Network
We started building UmayNow at the beginning of 2026 because we felt professional networking was becoming less useful.
Platforms that were built to help people find opportunities increasingly became places where everyone is expected to post, engage and build a personal brand. Our feeds filled up with AI-generated content, recycled advice, announcements and posts made simply to stay visible.
Meanwhile, the useful things were getting harder to discover. Someone needs a developer. Someone is looking for a publisher. Someone needs a partner. Someone has something valuable to offer. These things are happening every day, but the right people don't always find each other.
UmayNow was built around that problem.
Instead of asking people to constantly create content, we want to make it easier to discover relevant people, needs, offers and opportunities.
We opened our pre-alpha yesterday, starting with the gaming ecosystem. It's early, but this is the direction we're exploring: a professional network built around discovery rather than attention.

The choice to start with gaming makes sense because the “someone needs a developer / publisher / partner” problem is unusually visible there. For a pre-alpha, UmayNow also feels like it could be getting a lot more organic traffic than it is right now just from people looking for very specific connections. Curious what discovery behavior has surprised you most so far?
Probably the fact that people don’t always come in looking for one specific thing. We’ve seen users browse through Offers and Needs and discover opportunities they weren’t actively searching for. That’s actually one of the things we wanted UmayNow to enable, so seeing it happen this early has been interesting.
That’s actually a pretty interesting signal this early.
If people are discovering Offers and Needs they weren’t actively searching for, I’d pay close attention to that behavior. It suggests UmayNow may not only have a “people searching for X” use case, but also a much broader discovery layer.
From a growth perspective, I’d be curious whether those real Offers/Needs could eventually become entry points for people who aren’t familiar with UmayNow yet especially around very specific problems, roles and opportunities in gaming.
The interesting part is that you could potentially turn the things people are already discovering inside UmayNow into the things that bring new people into UmayNow.
Have you started seeing any particular types of Offers or Needs getting noticeably more attention than others?
We are not even in beta now, this is a new behaviour as you said and we're expecting people to see from others and get used to it.
This is where others fail. They are building your profile around who are you?
We are building it around what you need and offer.
I think that'll make sense in time.
That distinction could actually become a strong acquisition angle too. If certain Offers and Needs are getting attention organically, I’d look at turning those recurring problems into searchable entry points around specific gaming roles and opportunities, then support the strongest ones with relevant third-party coverage. That way the discovery happening inside UmayNow can also start driving discovery from outside it.
Our goal at this stage is to get that initial discovery loop working.
For example, we’ve started by identifying 40 Turkish gaming companies that are currently hiring. We have their general company emails as well as HR and CEO contacts.
On Monday, we’re planning to reach out to all of them and offer to publish their open positions on UmayNow for free, while inviting them to become Alpha users.
I’m even considering offering something along the lines of: “If you give us permission, we can add these job postings to UmayNow on your behalf.”
That way, there’s almost no friction for the companies. We can start building the initial supply of real opportunities ourselves, then see how people discover and interact with them.
That could actually make the 40-company outreach even stronger. If those companies see UmayNow already being covered by relevant gaming/startup publications, it adds a layer of third-party trust when you approach them for listings and Alpha access. And the coverage itself can become another discovery channel for companies and people who haven’t heard of UmayNow yet. I’d see media as something that supports the supply-building experiment rather than replacing it.
✨ Just saw your post about UmayNow, this looks like a product with real staying power. I offer live recorded review sessions, the kind of honest feedback that doesn't come from surveys, send me a DM if you want to set it up.
Thanks, I appreciate that! We’d definitely be interested in hearing some honest feedback from someone using the product with fresh eyes. Feel free to DM me with some details about how you usually run the sessions and what you’d need from us.
Here is your free video review. Let me know if this is helpful. https://betabloom.app/v/jpC7UMqYf_WppRzCiJvJ__6KZWhMM8ix
WOW! That's amazing, thanks a lot, I liked that.
Thanks - that’s great to hear. If you want a slightly deeper pass (I can walk through the first-visit experience live and show the exact spots people drop off), happy to do that.
The contrast between discovery and visibility is clear in how you describe UmayNow. Curious what people notice first when they enter the pre-alpha.
Thank you! There are still some small bugs and mostly UI updates we’re working on. The most interesting feedback so far has been around the usefulness of the Offers and Needs. People are already discovering possibilities they hadn’t considered before, which is really interesting to see. You’re welcome to check it out yourself too. We’d appreciate it!
That’s interesting — the Offers and Needs seem to be creating discovery beyond the obvious use case. I’ll take a look. If you’re open to continuing the conversation, what’s the best email to reach you at?
info umaynow can be used now but I started to think you are a bot :D
Haha, fair 😄 I probably do ask too many oddly specific questions. I’ll actually check UmayNow out and see what I think.
I like the things you asked, I only didn't see someone use em dash in conversation before :D
Perfect 😄 Looking forward to continuing the conversation.
