A few years ago, I got scammed.
I was doing freelance work for a company. The contract looked fine. I skimmed through it , because, hey, I’m not a legal guy.
Only later did I realize… it had hidden charges. Weird clauses. And I ended up losing money. It happened again , this time I was outsourcing work to a freelancer. They slipped in “extra” fees. And then I started noticing something… This wasn’t just me.
Forums. Twitter threads. LinkedIn posts. People everywhere were sharing similar stories. That’s when I thought this needs to stop.
So I built Unclaws. An AI tool that reads contracts for you. Flags hidden charges. Unfair terms. Biased clauses, and 500+ more unusual clauses.
