First scammy porn website signed up!

Each popular website builder faces this problem sooner or later. Now it's Unicorn Platform's turn 😳

A guy from Philipinnes has created a scammy porn website with my product.

I suppose the slogan "Everyone can get a beautiful landing page" must be completed with an addition 😁

You could consider using the Google Vision API to detect NSFW images.

    1. 1

With my humble 700 uploads per month Google Vision API will cost $0-1.5. That is super cheap!

      Does it work well?

  2. 2

Your platform is amazing, very clean and easy to produce beautiful pages. I'm loving it :)

  3. 1

It's great what can I say. I love porn. Actually, I noticed that at the present time, the pornographic industry become much popular than it was before. Every day a hundred pornographic images are taken and such industry becomes stronger and stronger. However, I'm a part of the community that loves to watch pornography, and sometimes actually I order a service from http://www.babesoflondon.com/ agency of escorts. Since I'm a lonely man, I think it's a lot better when u have sex with a woman that knows how to make sex with a lonely man, like me. I think if in the country escorting is illegal, it has to be in each country at least decriminalized, since this is a thing that should be able for anyone, everywhere.

They charge like £200/hr. At least in London.

Your website builder is pretty nice.

    1. 1

      Well, thank you!
Btw, why don't you have your own product yet?

  5. 1

    Congrats 😅

I think that's actually how Wirecard got big. They were one of the few payment providers to accept porn website providers as their customers.

    1. 1

Thanks for the insight! I will read the Wirecard story.

The problem of this market is that it still remains somehow shady (thanks PornHub for making porn more accepted and fun though). That is why there are not too many case studies, guides and services.

        1. 1

Yeah. Reading the same article ATM.

@alexanderisora does your site support "click to watch the video"?
Basically a button the visitor can click to watch a pop-up video.

    1. 1

Hey. This is a planned feature.

      1. 1

Hey, moved our site over to the platform. LOVING IT, so far.

Although I am having some issues with enabling Google Analytics.

Hey Justin. I'm glad you liked Unicorn Platform 😎
Could you please reach me via email? [email protected]

          1. 1

            Done. Just sent email.

      2. 1

Please let me know when you do. I am looking to move our site to something more startup-centric. And your platform is precisely what we're looking for.

  7. 1

Well, you know what they say about imitation being a form of flattery and all that 🤣

    1. 1

Hey. They did not clone my app. The used my website builder to create a scammy page with a porn image. Something that seems to be happening to every mature website builder. This is both exciting, and unpleasant :D

  8. 1

Ugh - any thoughts on what you plan to do about it? I have a product that is essentially a photo uploader (to start) and will face the same issue at some point.

    1. 2

There are plenty of image checkers. They provide API which accepts and images and returns a score. You simply automatically delete high-risk photos and keep enjoying life.

Well, this is a theory. Not sure it will work flawlessly :)

      1. 1

Hmm any insight on good ones to use?

        1. 1

Sorry, nope. I haven't used any of them yet.
I simply manually scroll through all my images once a couple of days :)

  9. 1

Don’t worry. You always have the Betamax defense.

    1. 1

I did not succeed to find "Betamax defense" but I suppose it an NFSW images checker API.
If so, I plan to use one of those in the future, when it becomes a real problem :)

      1. 1

Sorry. It’s the concept that you can make something for good, but it’s not your fault if people find a way to use it for evil.

should probably be renamed the zuckerberg defense

That was one of those "meet single women around you" dating service that drains users' money for nothing. Looks scammy to me.

      What do you think?

      1. 1

inbox me the link I see it

Sorry, I've already deleted it. Can't undo.
