I Acquired Uniswap.fish

I have some BIG news. 😮

I acquired a website for $37k! 🎊

Here's what it is and why I'm doing this. 👇
The website is http://poolfish.xyz.

It gets ~30k unique users and 60k page views.

It's just two pages.

It's a calculator that helps Liquidity Pool providers figure out how much money they can make for putting capital into a specific pool.

If you aren't into crypto, then this probably went over your head.

But the gist is that these are pro crypto users that are making real money by providing a service to other crypto traders.

It's a high value user.
The goal is to make revenue from crypto sponsors and grow traffic.

Then I'll build a SaaS that serves these users.

The website will become a top of funnel for the SaaS.
I ran into this site and the problem I want to solve when I was LPing myself.

So this biz is scratching my own itch for sure!
I love that it's in the crypto space that I enjoy and that It's serving a very specific niche.

It's a pro user that will be willing to pay money for a tool that helps them make more money.

Perfect for bootstrapping!
I bought uniswap.fish from another indie hacker, Chun Rapeepat.

He has done an awesome job creating the site the last 2 years and I look forward to see what he builds next.

I'm thrilled that he is letting me take the wheel! With buying this I am completely pivoting from my last project, TrustScore.

Still like what I was trying to solve with it but it was a bit too ambitious.

I like this idea better! 🙃
Of course I'll be sharing the progress as I go here on Twitter.

So follow along!

Should be a fun ride! 😁

    Congrats!

I'd love to hear more about the acquisition process. Did you use any acquisition marketplace for the deal, or did you just deal directly?

    1. 1

I just reached out to him directly on Twitter.
We took about 2 weeks to complete everything.
Only took 3 days to transition everything.

It was pretty straight forward! helped that we trusted each other.
