Unspam
Email Spam Checker & Deliverability Test
After more than a year juggling between agency projects and SaaS development, we finally hit a small, symbolic milestone with Unspam.email - $1,000 in MRR
It’s not explosive growth. It’s not an overnight success. But it’s real.
And it’s entirely bootstrapped.
The Harsh Truth: Email Deliverability is a Niche, Not a Trend
If you’ve ever tried to build a SaaS in the cold email or email deliverability space, you already know the problem: nobody thinks they need help until they’re in trouble. By the time their emails are landing in spam, it’s often too late.
Some numbers:
Over 300 billion emails are sent every day - yet deliverability tools remain a niche.
Even among seasoned marketers, terms like SPF, DKIM, DMARC are often misunderstood or ignored.
Gmail’s new sender requirements (Feb 2024) have made things stricter - yet many SaaS founders still send email from a shared IP or without proper domain alignment.
In other words: most don’t care about email hygiene until they’re blacklisted.
That makes acquisition hard. You’re not selling a vitamin or a candy bar - you're selling insurance against future failure. It’s a tough pitch unless the pain is already there.
Our SaaS Journey: 90% Agency, 10% Product (But We’re Changing That)
Let’s be honest. Most of our income still comes from agency work.
We and our partners offer hands-on deliverability audits and help companies fix reputation issues. That keeps the lights on - and gives us real-world insight into what people actually struggle with. Unspam.email started as a side project to automate parts of this process, and it's slowly evolved.
But building the product side has been a crawl, not a sprint.
Getting to $1K MRR took:
Hundreds of hours of dev work.
Constant context-switching between client demands and product improvements.
Low-converting SEO traffic and even lower trust from social media leads.
Still, we’re here. And now we want to push harder.
Our First Big Bet: A Live Webinar
To start building more visibility and authority in the space, we’re launching our first live webinar:
🎙️ The Actual State of Email Deliverability -> https://webinar.unspam.email/
📅 Tuesday, July 8, 2025
🕥 10:30 AM EST / 16:30 CET
We’re teaming up with top voices in the industry to break down:
What’s really affecting inbox placement in 2025.
How to spot deliverability issues before they become disasters.
How Gmail and Yahoo’s new rules are shaping sender behavior.
This is our attempt to step beyond the tool - and build a real community around the problem.
Final Thoughts
Crossing $1K MRR isn’t the finish line. But for us, it’s a turning point.
It means the product is finally generating revenue on its own.
It means the value is clear enough that some users are paying - not because we convinced them in a call, but because they discovered it and signed up.
It means it’s time to double down.
So if you’re building something in an unsexy, under-appreciated corner of the internet: keep going.
It’s slow. It’s lonely. But the problems worth solving usually are.

Congrats on hitting $1K MRR! That’s a massive milestone, especially in such a tough niche.
I’ve dabbled in email tools myself, and totally relate to the “nobody cares until they’re in trouble” problem. Selling a preventive solution in a reactive market is brutal.
Really respect how you’re balancing agency work with building the product. That’s the kind of grind most people don’t see.
Also, signed up for the webinar!
Thanks so much for the support 🙌
Yeah, it’s been a long road - not glamorous, but steady. Hoping the webinar helps spark more conversations around this stuff. Appreciate you signing up!
