August 29, 2026 I built Unxiety, an anxiety relief app with no account, no cloud, and no subscription

Hey IH, wanted to share something I've been building: Unxiety, an iOS app

for the moment anxiety actually hits.

Most anxiety and wellness apps ask for a lot before they help you — create

an account, start a trial, pick a subscription tier. When you're anxious,

that friction is the opposite of what you need. So I built the app I

wanted to exist: no account, no cloud, nothing to set up. Open it, tap

the panic button, and you're straight into a guided breathing or

grounding exercise.

What's in it:

- Guided breathing (box breathing, 4-7-8, physiological sigh, and more)

- Grounding exercises (5-4-3-2-1, body scan, short meditations)

- Ambient sounds for sleep and focus (rain, ocean, brown noise, forest)

- A deck of reframe prompts for catching anxious thought patterns

- A one-tap panic button that jumps straight into a calming exercise

Everything runs entirely on-device — the only network call the app ever

makes is to process the purchase. No analytics, no tracking SDKs, no

account of any kind.

Business model: 3 free sessions, then a single one-time purchase unlocks

everything, forever. No subscription. I wanted the pricing to match the

"no friction" philosophy of the app itself — pay once, done.

Built with Expo/React Native. It's live on the App Store now —

Unxiety — and I'd genuinely love feedback, especially from

anyone who's tried (and gotten frustrated with) other anxiety apps.

It's not a replacement for therapy or medical care, just a fast, private

tool for the 90 seconds before or during a spike.

About

Most anxiety apps require an account and a subscription before they help. Unxiety skips both — no account, no cloud, one tap into calm, no subscription ever.
