June 4, 2018 10 paying customers

Paying user base increased to 10 paying customers, some smaller and some bigger. At this point, users were located in different places in the World so I noticed there is a chance to optimize SMS notification costs if I integrate multiple SMS providers and user right providers for right country.

July 3, 2017 Got first paying customer

I got the first paying customer, it was a small $6/month subscription, but it was first paying user and I was very excited.

This marked a time I should be more serious with the project, make sure it is always UP, there are enough SMS credits to ba able to send notifications....

March 28, 2017 Added multiple check locations

At the first stage, I had only one server, hosting both Web interface and performing health checks, but I made it with the idea to use multiple monitoring locations in the future. This time comes, and I isolated my health-check code, made it separately deployable on cheap Linux servers, and deployed to 3 different locations.

I needed the service to monitor health of my game (Draw and Guess) and it was accessible through WebSockets. The first version was live, using only one location to perform checks, but this was enough for me at the time. It supported SMS notification from the start, so I can be alerted immediately if something is down.

About

I created this service for myself - I needed a WebSockets monitoring solution for my game (www.drawandguess.com) and there were not a lot of existing options so I created one!
