I’m Minor Keith! I’m a SRE by profession and I built Upwatch because I was tired of finding out about outages from customers instead of my monitoring tools.
The problem was simple — every option was either $20+/mo for basic alerting, required self-hosting Prometheus and Grafana.
So I built my own. Add a URL, pick an interval, get an email when it goes down. HTTP, TCP, and Ping. Body matching for health endpoints that need a POST with a payload. Status pages with custom domains. Maintenance windows. Full REST API. 10 monitors free, no credit card.
