urspace is a platform that generates a personal website, blog, and resume - instantly. We hook up to platforms like LinkedIn and Github to give you a profile with all of your information filled out so you can hit the ground running with a new account.
A few friends and I started urspace a year and a half ago. Since then we've had two great launches on Producthunt (getting us #2 and #3 product of the day). We just hit 1000 total users on the platform today! Really exciting to see this project go beyond just friends and family using it. There is still a ton of work to be done on urspace, but proud of this moment and where we are now!

Today is the day. We finally launched on producthunt! After working on urspace for almost two years, I am very proud to share what my team and I have created. It's been amazing to see the product and idea grow. We still have so much work to do and so many other features to add!
For those that don't know: urspace is the home for your professional self. Your personal website, resume, and blog - all live in one place.
We launched and we were greeted with great feedback instantly! (and made it to the #3 spot)

We just launched our upcoming page on product hunt. I also decided to try ProductHunt ship out (at least for a month) and see what types of benefits we end up getting from the platform. I will keep everyone updated with what type of feedback we receive!
In the mean time - do you have any advice on how we should make our upcoming page more enticing? Would love to hear your input below.
We noticed it’s been hard to communicate with users across the platform, so we added a notifications feature to the dashboard. Now we can send email updates, and have notifications in the dashboard!
Another feature we have been working on is a way to match job seekers with jobs. We started working on a solution for this, but in the meantime we implemented a dropdown on your homepage that asks you for a recruiting status (currently looking for jobs, open to offers, not looking/interested at all, etc.). This will let us to start collecting data and figure out where most of our users are in the recruiting cycle.
The last addition for this month was just a ton of general updates across the platform. We updated the design of 3 pages (experiences, projects, blogs). Adding some animations and features users have been requesting (bulk deleting/hiding projects/experiences)

After a year and a half of working on urspace/4 months of private beta - my team and I are proud to announce that we launched!
Urspace is the digital hub for your professional presence. We pull information from websites like Linkedin, Github, and Behance to instantly create you a website, blog, or resume.
Never retype a bio, case study, or job description ever again.
We are launching to our waitlist of a few hundred users and will be focusing our efforts for the next couple weeks on gathering user feedback and then iterating on it. So far, the feedback has been great. I think people recognize that there is a real problem in the space and my team and I are excited to solve it.

Congrats on the launch!
I'm curious: Is LinkedIn really your competitor? For me, it set an expectation of social networking, while Urspace looks like more of an automated portfolio site builder? And the fact that you integrate with LinkedIn kind of validates that.

Great point. We don't believe that the "next linkedin" will be entirely social. While that has been a major reason why they have succeeded, we have seen linkedin spawn: "professional influencers", low quality of actual professional content, and a toxic community.
The blog is the start of our user generated content initiative, and we hope to carefully introduce more.
so in short: It might not look like LinkedIn right now, but we don't think the replacement will.
