80% of which achieved in just the last two months... It's been an insanely good release of version 3.0! And the new major update with a few really cool, much-requested features is coming up soon!

April 30, 2020 500 ratings on the App Store!

What a great number! Really love the progress since the last major release! And hey, soon there is gonna be a new update, with cool new features. I bet you would love to have them already!
Fun fact: it took years to reach nearly 2 hundred ratings and just a month to 5 hundred!

Wow, that looks like a super cool app. I just installed it to check it out. Congrats on the ratings!

Congrats man. How did you make the push from 200 - 500 in under a month?

    1. 2

I believe it's because of these few factors:

      • I released a major update with a refreshed, better look and additional functionality
      • There were two more updates with changes based on user's feedback
      • The app prompts to review more early on
March 29, 2020 Released version 3.0

Available on the App Store: https://apple.co/2xecD1j

Based on a lot of received feedback, I decided to make a major update to the app.
It is completely redesigned and extended with more information. The widget is now configurable. Built with SwiftUI and loved it!

November 2, 2019 Reached 2000 monthly active users!

I didn't expect this to happen soon, less than a month ago it was barely above 1000. Thanks to the community of hackers and app review on YouTube it doubled the audience in three weeks!
It's a completely free app, without any ads. Small and simple. I wish more and more people find it useful and spread a word :)

    Congrats! I'm at 500 MAUs.

Can you talk more about how you landed the youtube reviews? How did you select who to reach out to? What did you ask them?

    1. 1

I was just writing them, and got featured at two, but sent emails to more than 10. Emails are public, and often in the about section of the channel.
And wrote regular promotion post, and asking for a review :)

      1. 1

Hey, one more question sorry! Did you pay for the reviews?

        1. 1

No, not for this one. I spent $0 on promoting this app, but it took so much time to get this result, which is still tiny after all.

        awesome, thank you!

Wow, that's so quick, awesome! Just curious: how did you get your first 100-200 users?

    1. 1

People randomly discovering it on the App Store - didn't do anything fancy, and it was couple of years ago πŸ˜€

        Oh alright.
Do you think we can get the video link as well?

Congrats 🎊! Huge achievement on not giving up. I looked at your product profile, and I see first release was in January 2015. And between this time and now, you have not given up. Huge respect πŸ˜‰

January 24, 2015 Version 1.0 released

This was my first iOS side project. The version 1.0 looked very different that it's now. The widget support was since this version, and it's also soon after widgets were introduced on iOS. Basically wanted to try them out, and found this idea.
With no promotion and any marketing very slowly was figuring things out.

About

A simple, handy utility with a widget that shows system activity and usage. Built the first version a few years ago as a fun project. Over time it was redesigned and extended. It's free and many people like it.
