#2 Product of the Day on Product Hunt!

Yesterday I launched UserBooster on Product Hunt.

I woke up at 3 am and spent the whole day replying to comment, tweeting about it, etc.….

It was tiring but, it was super fun to do! I really felt like I was supported by the whole community the whole day long. 🥰

Here are the final metrics:

  • 1300 visitors on the landing page
  • $650 of revenues
  • #2 Product of the day

I didn't expect to be #2! During the whole day, UserBooster was in the #4 position. When I went to sleep, it was #5!
What helps was a couple of late tweets about my product and the major number of comments that I got!

Thank you so much to all the IndieHackers community. You guys are truly awesome!

Congrats! Driving traffic from social media provides much better results on ProductHunt, but I hear it's pretty tricky since they need to be organic (shouldn't direct them directly to the page itself but rather the home page of the website). What tips can you share about this?

I heard that for HackerNews not for PH. As soon as you don't ask explicitly for upvotes and you don't "force" people to create an account to vote you'll be fine. A lot of my votes came from my audience on social media…

How much was your ad spend for directing traffic to this Product Hunt page? And did you have to spend a lot of time testing your audience beforehand?

          I didn't do any ads…

I'm working on my audience for the last 6 months, yes
