Userwell
Product Feedback Management Tool
Defining the requirements of an MVP usually does not come easy. Since we were in need of a product feedback tool ourselves for our existing API products, we decided to take our personal use case as a basis.
Of course, we plan to "eat our own dog food" and continue developing the tool based on incoming feedback while completing many features that are still on our to-do list anyway.
If you have taken a look at userwell and have feedback for us, please submit it here: https://feedback.userwell.com/.
Two years ago, we started bootstrapping several API products. With a growing customer base, we started receiving more and more feedback through our customer-facing channels (e.g., support chat, email, our helpdesk tool, etc.).
Hence, we began to evaluate the market to find a tool to consolidate and manage incoming feedback in one central place.
Since we were looking for a new product to add to our portfolio and we saw a lot of potential in the market, we decided to develop a product feedback tool ourselves.
A small "hello world" from our blog: https://userwell.com/welcome-to-userwell/

Very cool! I'm bookmarking this for when I have enough traction to actually put it to good use, your base pricing is a bit high for a product that is still in its early stages.

Hey Barry,
Thank you for the kind words! :-)We understand the price point might look a little bit high for a product that was just released. With our previous products, we have also followed the common strategy of entering a new market by undercutting the competition's prices and making the pricing our USP.
We decided that this would be the wrong strategy for userwell, as "feature completeness" will be become pretty high soon after the launch of the MVP. Hence, it will provide much more than the small & nifty "feature request" tool, available for 20 USD per month. Do not get me wrong - these tools are great, but we plan to cover feedback management much more holistically. This has to cost something and would not be self-sustaining otherwise.
Just sharing my thoughts here - I hope that makes sense :)

Yep that makes perfect sense, I think you may have misunderstood! With "your base pricing is a bit high for a product that is still in its early stages" I was referring to MY product. As in, for products that still have low revenue/traction the price is going to probably exclude them from the funnel, but that is perfectly fine.

Hah, I actually just started working on a similar tool... How do you guys plan to promote it and differentiate given that there are so many similar products on the market?

Hey Yanis,
You are right! There are quite a few tools on the market. A lot of them put most of their focus on providing a feature request page.
While this will also be a part of userwell, we plan to cover the broad area of feedback management much more holistically.Regarding your second question: We are going to play the classic SaaS marketing playbook. The strongest pillar will be content marketing. We are a bootstrapped company, lucky enough to have some financial resources available to invest in marketing right from the start to get the ball rolling :)
