Usurpit

When outbid blew up, 100+ clones shipped in a few hours, all the same thing: a leaderboard where #1 is just whoever paid the most. I thought everyone was copying the wrong part. The leaderboard was never the genius. The genius is the psychology: people pay real money to be seen, and they cannot stand being replaced.

So, I built the opposite of winner-take-all. Usurpit is a board of 32 spots. You claim an open spot for $1. Anyone can take your spot by paying 1.5x what you paid. When you lose it, you get an email receipt with a one-click link to take it right back. It is not a ranking, it is a turf war, and 32 people get their moment at once instead of one.

I have no audience and no ad budget, so the product has to carry itself. The whole bet is that losing your spot stings just enough to make you come back and take it again.
