June 27, 2026 Why are businesses still answering the same website questions in 2026?

Over the last few months I've spoken to businesses that receive the same website questions over and over again:

  • Pricing

  • Services

  • Availability

  • Bookings

  • Policies

Most businesses solve this with FAQ pages that visitors rarely read, or live chat tools that require someone to be online to answer the same questions repeatedly.

That led me to build Uttar — a 24/7 Front Desk for business websites that works like an interactive FAQ. Visitors simply ask their question and get an instant answer from information the business has approved.

I'm curious how common this problem actually is.

If you run a business website:

  • How much time does your team spend answering the same questions repeatedly?

  • How are you handling those enquiries today?

  • Are FAQ pages and live chat enough, or do you feel there's still a gap?

I think the opportunity is bigger than replacing FAQ pages. FAQs make visitors search for answers. You're trying to let them ask naturally instead. That's a different interaction model. The challenge, I think, is making businesses realize they're not buying an AI chatbot—they're buying back all the time lost repeating the same conversations every day.

This reframe is genuinely useful — selling back time lost rather than selling a product feature. That is a much cleaner way to describe what actually changes for the business owner. Thank you for this.

        I'm glad it was useful.

Reading your reply, I think there's one implication of that reframe that's much more important than it first appears, but it's probably too much to unpack properly in a thread.

Happy to explain what I mean if it's useful. What's the best email to reach you on?

            Just sent it over.

The reason I suggested email is that I don't think a thread could do the reasoning behind it justice.

Curious what you think after you've had a chance to read it.

I built Uttar to help small businesses stop missing customers simply because nobody was available to answer a question at the right moment.
