Flat-rate AI agents, no metered credits — here's why we built it that way

Hey IH đź‘‹

We're Milan and the team behind Valtres. We build no-code AI agents for Dutch SMBs — customer service, content, planning, admin — and the whole reason the product exists is a pricing complaint: most AI-agent platforms charge a platform fee and then bill separately for LLM usage or credits on top, so your invoice is a guess every month.

Valtres is flat-rate instead: €10/€25/€40 per month depending on plan, agents and usage included, no metered add-on. Every customer gets an isolated workspace, and every consequential agent action (sending something external, touching a customer record) waits on a human sign-off before it executes.

We just launched on Product Hunt and are actively collecting feedback — especially from anyone who's hit the same unpredictable-billing problem with Zapier/Make/n8n-style tools. What would make a platform like this an easy yes for you?

Fair distinction, and honestly — not yet. We've got a handful of businesses trying it for free right now, but none of them have said that in so many words. The pricing model is a bet based on a complaint from our own experience with Zapier/Make-style unpredictable billing, not something we've validated with actual switching behavior yet. So take the positioning as a hypothesis, not a proven driver — appreciate you pushing on that, it's the right question to be asking us at this stage.

The pricing complaint makes the positioning intuitive, but I’d separate “people dislike unpredictable bills” from “they’ll choose a new platform because it removes them.” Have early customers explicitly cited predictable pricing as the reason they switched or bought?
