Paper trading app for stocks and options

Visit Website
November 24, 2020 1000 users!

We hit 1000 users today! No money was spent on advertisements, just posted in on various subreddits (~5 posts total) and people seemed to really like it! The site is a lot more stable and the data is a lot more high-quality than before, so the DAU has been getting better as well. Looking forward to adding another zero to that user count next!

Hey, congratz! Can you share you how you posted on Reddit without sounding promotional? I've been struggling with this channel.

September 16, 2020 Reddit /r/options launch

Mad a post on /r/options promoting the site (the only subreddit that allowed me to promote it) and it blew up (by my standards)!

I got 500 users signed up in 2 days, and more are still trickling in. I think this means I've got product-market fit, but there are still a number of bugs to get figured out (as well as basic site functionality, like resetting passwords or changing your display name).

July 2020 Initial Launch

This was just getting the app out in public. It had a lot of bugs and it could only trade stocks, but it was hosted and out there. Social login was supported as well as email/ password. Adoption was pretty slow, but it was available to the world and allowed for iterating on design/ usability/ bugs.

About

I lost a good amount of money trading options when I didn't really know what I was doing, so I built this paper trading app for practice and to build community around strategies.
