After the events of 2020 I decided to buy a van and attempt to convert it so I can spend less time locked up in my apartment in 2021.

When designing and building a van you need to make lots of decisions. Each decision comes with its own set of tradeoffs. I wished there was a way of viewing all available options that people chose in previous builds, how popular each option was, and the trade offs for each. It would make the process of building a van much easier. So, I decided to try and build it!

I managed to get the perfect domain name. vbdb.com which stands for "the Van Build Database". It cost: $2k.

There's a big community of van builders on YouTube so I'm planning to build it in public, make videos about the process, and try and tap into the YouTube community that already exists.
