VC Deal Flow Signal
GitHub-driven startup deal flow for investors
Today is launch day. After 6 months of solo work, VC Deal Flow Signal is live on Product Hunt.
The pitch in one line. We monitor GitHub engineering activity across thousands of startup orgs and rank them by acceleration, so investors spot breakouts 3 to 6 weeks before the deck hits inboxes.
What shipped together with the launch:
- Dashboard at signals.gitdealflow.com (60+ startups across 20 sectors, weekly updates)
- MCP server for Claude and Cursor users, free forever (npx -y @gitdealflow/mcp-signal)
- Chrome extension that overlays the signal on Crunchbase, AngelList, and PitchBook profiles
- A2A endpoint so AI agents can query the signal directly
The thing that surprised me most this morning. The free Chrome extension drove more first-day signups than the paid dashboard pitch did. People install free tools fast, and then the data sells itself. I underrated that for the first 4 months of building.
What's next this week:
- Watchlist feature with email alerts (most-requested by beta users)
- Signal of the Week — public weekly drop, every Monday, 5 breakouts with full methodology
- More agent-framework recipes (n8n, Zapier, AutoGen drafts already exist)
If you build in deal-flow, dev-tools, or competitive-intel, I would love to hear what would make this useful for you. Especially curious whether a 0 USD self-serve API tier could pull more devs in without cannibalizing the paid dashboard.
