VedIntel™ AstroAPI

Vedic Astrology API with Local Computation & Claude AI

August 13, 2026 I replaced a $5.7M/year competitor's external API dependency with local computation. Built VedIntel™ AstroAPI.

For the last few months I've been building VedIntel™ AstroAPI, a Vedic astrology computation API. It started as a fix for a third-party dependency in my own product, which was previously calling an external competitor's API for every chart calculation.

That competitor does ~$5.7M/year in revenue with a real weakness: every computation goes through their servers. If they're slow or down, so are you.

So I rebuilt the whole computation layer locally. Call it the VedIntel™ Precision Engine: no external API calls for the actual astrology math. 133 endpoints now: horoscopes, divisional charts (D1–D60), dashas (Vimshottari, Yogini, Char), panchang, muhurta, matching/compatibility, doshas, predictions, even Chinese and Japanese astrology systems, Tarot, and numerology.

The part I'm actually proud of: I found and fixed 3 real accuracy bugs during the rebuild that the incumbent likely still has. Wrong divisional chart formulas. A broken dasha-cycle loop. Sunrise/sunset math that was off by up to 15 minutes. Verified every endpoint against Jagannatha Hora, the reference tool professional astrologers actually use. Divisional charts check 180/180, panchang verified to the minute against DrikPanchang.

On top of the core engine, there's a Claude AI layer for natural-language chart interpretations, dasha narratives, and transit forecasts. None of the existing Vedic astrology APIs offer that.

7-day free trial, 500 calls, all 128 core endpoints unlocked, no credit card. Paid plans start at $9/month.

Would genuinely appreciate feedback from anyone building astrology, matrimony-matching, or spiritual-wellness products: what's missing, what's confusing, what you'd want that isn't there yet.

Vedic astrology apps and platforms need accurate, reliable planetary calculations, but most existing APIs are inconsistent on timezone handling and precision. VedIntel™ AstroAPI exists to give developers a Gold Standard.
