Vegan Today

There are around 2000 news articles related to veganism coming out every week. I think I've come up with a pretty good strategy/workflow to check all of them, tag them, read the most promising ones, and compile them in a newsletter.

Right now, it takes me about 30 mn a day to triage the articles that enter my pipeline and 2-3 hours on Friday to actually create the email that I send out Saturday morning.

There's definitely still room for optimization and automation, but I'm feeling pretty good about where I'm at now. I was on vacation for a week and I was worried it would be difficult to still work on it, but it was fine.

Now that I'm confident I can put out a quality email once a week without too much overhead, I need to move to Phase 1 (I consider the rest Phase 0 🤣) and get some subs.

I can't remember how many times I've bought a URL and worked on the perfect logo and landing page forever and never shipped the thing. This time, I decided NOT to agonize over the design or logo and just SHIP IT. So the page doesn't have a logo, and the design is the most basic you can think of.

I did the same thing on the tech side: I just signer up for MailChimp, and fired up Parcell to create the home page in maybe an hour.
