In 2012, I had a website that marketed local private resorts in my hometown in Laguna, Philippines. I bootstrapped it as a one-man team, from business development, SEO, web architecture and development up to the day-to-day business operations. It got top rankings and I was able to close full bookings every weekend for my partner resorts in our hometown. The bookings I got were mostly for special occasions like birthdays, office or corporate getaways, Christmas parties and the like. This was when I thought, there's no platform in the Philippines where you can search and book event spaces.
