Verimail

Organic growth is tough and takes veeeery long. We lauched more than a year ago and today we are at 100 signups our of which 3 are paying customers. But I have to confesse that I've been very busy and lazy at the same time; Consulting to feed my family takes most of my time. But I should soon free up some time for Verimail to start paid and organic promotion.

Today I got my first paying customer for Verimail.io. Its one of my customers as a consultant who happen to need email verification. I know this is not scalable, but still a customer is a customer, and I am happy someone is finally finding my tool useful.

Today is a big day. I am finally dedicated to doing what I like, building web apps. Not that I didnt like my previous Job, I was constantly in touch with students which was great. Now I will start a new phase, building useful apps for the world. Verimail.io is hopefully the first of a series of tools

It took a few months, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for Verimail.io. I worked mostly nights and weekends, and I coded the whole thing in Java since that's that I'm the most comfortable with. II'm excited to start talking to customers and see what they think about the product so far!

I was CIO of a leading University. The outreach department used to collect shit load of email addresses of prospective students, most of them misspelled. I used to spend ridiculous amounts of money on kickbox for verification. So I decided to do it myself for fun. It worked! Why not opening it to the world, to make it cheaper and more reliable than the competition.
