After 20+ years in enterprise sales, telecom, and corporate strategy, I never expected I’d become an indie builder.
But over the past few months, I’ve been building VerityStrat — an AI-powered market intelligence and competitive analysis platform focused on automating structured strategic research.
The idea came from a frustration I kept seeing repeatedly inside large organizations:
Companies have access to enormous amounts of market data, but turning that fragmented information into decision-ready strategic insight still requires painfully manual workflows.
So instead of building another generic AI content tool, I wanted to explore whether vertical AI reasoning could automate parts of institutional-grade competitive intelligence.
What’s been most surprising to me isn’t just the AI itself.
It’s how dramatically AI-native development tools have compressed execution speed.
A few years ago, I probably wouldn’t even have attempted building something like this independently.
Now, founders can move from idea → prototype → deployment at a speed that fundamentally changes the economics of software creation.
Still very early.
Still learning.
Still iterating aggressively.
