VidSentry
The context-first moderation platform.
The problem:
Every major content moderation tool was built for Western markets. When African platforms deploy them, two things happen. Legitimate users get silenced because local slang and cultural context get flagged as harmful. And genuine threats slip through because the system has never been trained to recognise them.
That is not a gap in the market. That is a failure of imagination by the incumbents.
What we built:
VidSentry detects hate speech, graphic violence, explicit content, weapons, and harmful audio across 40+ languages. It handles multilingual code-switching, which is how the majority of our target users actually communicate. It performs surgical frame-level redaction on flagged content. And it generates audit-ready compliance reports for African regulators out of the box.
What I am figuring out right now:
How to close the gap between a technically strong product and a first signed enterprise contract. That is the real work at this stage.
Happy to talk to anyone building in trust and safety, AI for emerging markets, or B2B enterprise sales.
