Hi Indie Hackers,

I’m Andrew from Australia (Gold Coast), and I’m about to release the first beta of a SaaS product I’ve been building called VitaePro.

It’s a cover letter creation platform, but not the “press a button and get generic AI text” kind.

The big shift I’m seeing in job applications right now is that AI has made applying faster, but it’s also made applications more obviously generic. Recruiters and ATS systems are starting to filter out predictable AI responses, and job seekers are stuck in the middle.

So I built VitaePro around a different philosophy:

Because AI alone isn’t enough.

VitaePro lets job seekers create responses using three sources:

Their own personal response (their real voice and experience)

Crowd-sourced responses (patterns based on what has actually worked for others)

AI-generated responses (for structure, clarity, and polishing)

The goal is to help people write cover letters that still sound human, but are faster to produce, tailored to the job, and designed to actually get shortlisted.

I’ve bootstrapped this project with basically zero budget while juggling life, work, and a million lessons learned the hard way. It’s been a long build and I’m excited (and nervous) to finally put it in front of real users.

If anyone here has launched into the job search / career SaaS space (or has thoughts on positioning against AI-only tools), I’d genuinely love to hear your advice.

I’ll share the link once the beta is live, but for now I’m mainly here to learn, share progress, and hopefully contribute as I go.
